About The Position

We’re looking for someone who can run a kitchen like a well-oiled (or well-boiled) bagel machine. As our Bakery Production Manager, you aren’t just baking; you’re the heartbeat of Ugly Bagel Distribution Co. You’ll oversee our centralized production hub in Franklin, ensuring that fresh bagels, signature schmears, and secret sauces hit our satellite stores before the sun even thinks about coming up. You’re equal parts production mastermind, team coach, and calm-under-pressure problem solver. If you thrive in "organized chaos," love the smell of yeast at 3:00 AM, and take bagels (but not yourself) seriously—we need to talk.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in a bakery, production kitchen, or food manufacturing management role.
  • A proven track record of managing teams and hitting daily output targets.
  • The ability to work early mornings, stand for long shifts, and lift 50+ lbs.
  • You’re a wizard with production schedules and time management.
  • You can lead a team through a 4:00 AM rush with clarity and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-location distribution or wholesale.
  • A background in artisan bread or bagel baking.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification.
  • Tech-savvy with inventory or production planning software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production for all locations. You’ll manage yields, batch consistency, and quality—because an "ugly" bagel should only be ugly in name.
  • Hire, train, and lead a crew of bagel makers and drivers. You’ll handle scheduling, coaching, and performance reviews to keep the "bagel fam" crushing it.
  • Ensure every schmear and sauce follows our SOPs to a T. No rogue bakers inventing "taco-flavored bagels" on the fly without a plan.
  • Coordinate delivery routes and schedules. You’re the reason our stores have what they need to open their doors at 7:00 AM sharp.
  • Keep a hawk-eye on inventory, place orders with suppliers, and minimize waste. You’ll be the bridge between our production hub and satellite managers.
  • Maintain a sparkling clean, health-code-compliant kitchen. You’ll handle logs, equipment maintenance, and safety training.
