About The Position

The Bakeshop Production Assistant Captain helps spread happiness by leading daily production of baked goods and supporting all aspects of the Bakeshop operation. This role ensures team members are well trained and following company policies, guests enjoy an exceptional experience, and the work and guest areas remain clean, organized, and safe. The Bakeshop Production Assistant Captain also oversees production standards so that high-quality baked goods are consistently available for our guests. Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks in all phases of bakeshop operations and jump in to assist wherever needed.
  • Monitor, train, and coach team members to ensure quality products are prepared and available for guests.
  • Ensure all areas and team members are properly set and ready for service each day.
  • Foster and support a total food service approach within the Village by working collaboratively with other areas.
  • Update, follow, and keep all recipes confidential while maintaining agreed-upon portion and quality standards.
  • Ensure quality control of ingredients and finished products and conduct yield and costing studies as needed.
  • Create and manage a daily production schedule and task list to meet production needs.
  • Coordinate storage and logistics with the Warehouse team and off-site storage locations as needed.
  • Order raw ingredients, resale items, and paper goods, maintain proper inventory levels, and complete required logs and records.
  • Support ServSafe and company cleaning standards, including opening, closing, and daily operating/cleaning procedures.
