Requirements

  • Experience in a legal environment (corporate / banking / finance preferred, but not essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • A proven track record of completing tasks accurately and on time
  • Confident IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Great time management and organisational ability
  • A flexible, collaborative approach and a commitment to outstanding client service

Responsibilities

  • Supporting fee earners in the transaction process, including managing checklists, drafting ancillary documents and liaising with other teams
  • Providing the first review and drafting the first report on banking documents during transactional due diligence
  • Drafting emails to and responding to requests from clients
  • Drafting routine banking documents such as deeds of release and content letters, and documents such as charges based on in house precedents
  • Assisting fee earners in co-ordinating completion and signing processes of transactions.
  • Dealing with ad hoc requests relating to original documents, retained information from clients and colleagues, as well as occasional research tasks
