About The Position

The Banquet Assistant is a professional who supports the work of the Banquet Manager in various tasks. They will oversee the planning of events with the utmost of professionalism.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical ability preferred.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and any shift.
  • Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
  • Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Certificate/ABC Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Basic mechanical ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for helping the Banquet Manager run the Banquet Department.
  • Assists with booking and planning events.
  • Assists in all areas of staffing, training and problem solving.
  • Work with clients, staff, and vendors to coordinate the requirements for an event.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down buffet or other special food service.
  • To provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process.
  • Anticipate guests needs.
  • Extreme attention to detail and quality.
  • Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Other duties assigned.
