About The Position

Come join our award-winning team as a Banquet Cook Floater at the beautiful Courtyard by Marriott in Orem. Position is part-time/on-call, fluctuating hours (5-25 hours/month). Rate is hourly PLUS tips. Benefits Daily Pay – get paid on-demand Medical Insurance Dental Vision 401K Employer Match Paid Time Off starting on first day Free Life and Accident Insurances Opportunities for growth and advancement within the Woodbury Group of hotels Retention and Referral Bonuses (after 30 days) Awesome Marriott worldwide hotel discounts (up to 75% off) Employee Assistance Program Employee Wellness Program Summary of Duties and Responsibilities/ Essential Function Responsible for the preparation, presentation and clean-up of booked in-house Banquets; Cook and prep food for selected menu, deliver prompt, friendly, and courteous service to guests; inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all dishes and silverware prior to use; maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day; wash and restock used plates, utensils, and/or cups as necessary; remove and dispose of leftover food at the end of Service; complete cleaning duties, cleaning all equipment and areas; keep track of food, beverages and supplies needed preparation for other banquets; perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Kitchen/Cook Experience
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Must be neat, professional, and well-groomed
  • Must be able to visually inspect area, compare observations to standards and correct deficiencies
  • Ability to work weekends, and willing to work a varied schedule for banquets at varying times
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around during entire shift
  • Must have the ability to work with guests and respond immediately and accurately to their needs and requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior food handlers is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and clean-up of booked in-house Banquets
  • Cook and prep food for selected menu, deliver prompt, friendly, and courteous service to guests
