About The Position

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and professional food and beverage service during meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events. This position supports the successful execution of banquet functions by following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), maintaining service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Banquet Server works as part of a team to deliver a seamless event experience while adhering to brand standards, safety procedures, and hospitality best practices. This is a seasonal position starting mid May and ending mid September.

Requirements

Prior banquet, restaurant, or food and beverage service experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of banquet service styles (plated, buffet, family-style) preferred
Alcohol service certification required where applicable (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or state-approved equivalent)
Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout shift
Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times
Communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
Demonstrate strong guest service and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attend all required hotel meetings and training sessions
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel scheduling requirements
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag
Comply with all hotel policies, brand standards, and safety regulations
Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Responsibilities

Set up banquet rooms and service stations according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner during events
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and equipment throughout the event
Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed
Clear tables and reset spaces efficiently between courses or events
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns
Communicate effectively with banquet captains and kitchen staff regarding service timing and guest needs
Assist with event setup, breakdown, and storage of banquet equipment as required
Always follows proper lifting techniques and safety procedures
Support other Food & Beverage operations as business levels require
