About The Position

Do you love the hospitality industry? Looking for an upbeat atmosphere? We are looking for an energetic, creative, driven, and self-motivated Banquet Set Up team member at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport . A Banquet Set Up team member handles setting up all tables/chairs, table skirting and AV equipment for banquet space following set-up diagrams provided. Maintain proper uniform, clean and free of excessive wrinkles. Properly set up banquet room(s) as instructed. Always follow health and safety practices Respond promptly to any guest request. Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success. During set up, support all work areas including any side work duties for overall productivity and success of the event. Once banquet is complete all tables/chairs, table skirting and AV equipment to put back in storage and re-set for next event according to directions given by manager. Work areas must be cleaned and wiped down, and all side duties must be completed before punching out for your shift.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Passion for service and the hospitality industry
  • Effective communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail, efficiency, consistency, and organization are necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep up with a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to carry tray to shoulder weighing up to 50 lbs. without aid.
  • Able to stand and/or walk entire shift.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work nights, and weekends on a full-time basis.
