About The Position

As Hotel Clermont's Bar Manager, you are the heartbeat of two beverage programs (The Rooftop Bar and Bar Caravan) and teams. You’ll help oversee daily operations, lead a high-energy team, and ensure every guest receives a top-tier experience in the glass, and in real time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume bar environment, with at least 1-2 year in a supervisory role.
  • Deep understanding of mixology, craft beer, and wine pairings, and cost-control.
  • Proficiency with POS systems (like Toast, Square, or Aloha) and inventory management software.
  • Ability to stand for long periods (8–10 hours).
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs (standard keg weight is roughly 160 lbs, but you should be able to maneuver them).
  • Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and schedule a team of bartenders, servers, and barbacks.
  • Manage liquor, wine, and beer ordering.
  • Perform weekly inventory counts and keep a sharp eye on pour costs and waste.
  • Take lead to create seasonal cocktail menus that are both creative and profitable.
  • Cost management is imperative.
  • Ensure all drinks meet house standards for presentation, speed, and taste.
  • Ensure all staff follow local liquor laws (ID checking, over-serving) and health department regulations.
  • Monitor lighting, music, and flow to ensure the environment is always "just right" for our clientele.
