About The Position
Barbacks are responsible for assisting bartenders in delivering each guest a unique high-quality experience with passion and knowledge in an energetic atmosphere. The role ensures the bar has all required product to execute orders and cocktails properly with a clean bar top to allow new guests. This position is constantly moving, multitasking, and anticipating bartenders needs. Our emphasis on product knowledge is essential to deliver an experience above the ordinary. Together our team members work to create an atmosphere of fun in a positive culture of teamwork and hard work. We expect nothing short of greatness and know personality sets us apart.
Requirements
- Current food handlers and alcohol certification maintained through employment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably within a high-volume environment
- Available to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidays
- Able to stand and/ or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift over 50+ lbs. if necessary
- Authorized to legally work in the US
Responsibilities
- Listen to the Customer Build a rapport with guests, be active in assisting, and communicating requests
- Assist in maintaining the guest eye view behind the bar
- Be Respectful of Company Resources Maintain proper par levels if necessary, make fresh syrups and house-made mixes
- Learn and maintain knowledge of food, beverage, and Company procedures to standard
- Comply with the Company’s rules and procedures along with any reasonable requests made from management during a shift
- Show Urgency Report for all scheduled shifts punctually, in proper attire and to proper health and hygiene standards
- Efficiently change kegs, cut fruit, and restock depleted product quickly
- Complete opening, closing, and running duties as assigned each shift
- Create Positive Energy Ensure glassware is cleaned, trash is emptied, and pre-bussing is maintained
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required per department
- Follow all health and safety guidelines maintaining proper procedures and report to management any hazardous situation or incident
- Must be able to pass exams with a 90% or better in each of the following categories: Food and Beverage All issued training testing throughout employment
