About The Position

Prepares and serves cold and hot beverages, light snacks, pastries, cookies, and other meal options to guests in the casino area. Must be able to provide excellent guest service during their shift. Maintains high quality of food preparations and production. Processes cash/comp/coupon/credit card transactions for restaurant guests. Suggests menu options, specials, and other casino amenities. Qualifications : Required minimum of 3-months previous money handling and cash register. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy. Willingness to learn and take initiative. Strong time management and efficiency skills. Interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills are required. Ability to work unsupervised and independently. Ensures that safe and appropriate procedures are used when receiving, storing, preparing, holding, cooking, and serving food. Processes cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary change, while presenting a receipt to the customer. Cleans register and restaurant areas, including counter tops, sinks, display shelves, tables, storage areas and lounge areas at assigned station. Handles and solves any concerns and questions customers may have. Performs all side work and stocking of supplies at assigned station. Fosters safe work environment by following safety guidelines. All team members will follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy. It is the expectation that every team member, front or back of house, should proactively seek out opportunities to greet guests and their fellow team members daily. EGE policy states teams members should: acknowledge guests and fellow team members within 10 feet; initiate friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet; keep your head up, look around (“head on a swivel”); look for opportunities to greet guests and others; please remember that when you are on the floor, you are “on stage”. Team members will participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance. Works a reasonable amount of overtime when required. Essential Job Functions: Is knowledgeable of all menu items – makes suggestions and answers questions. Uses HACCP sanitation guidelines and procedures by maintaining cleanliness in and around the kitchen areas, including all equipment. Prepare items according to recipe standards and specifications. Assist with creating par levels and notifies supervisor when stock runs low. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and complies with all state, federal and regulatory policies, and procedures. Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed. Perform other duties as assigned Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands: Literate and fluent in English. Must be able to tolerate chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas. Must be able to work and maneuver in a close or small area / working environment during entire shift. Must be able to lift, push & pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, and stack. Must be able to use proper team lifting and carrying techniques. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Visual range must include immediate area. Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours.
