About The Position

Operating in our Slow Joe’s Donut Bus, Baristas are tasked with managing the overall guest experience and product for our guests. Baristas will take orders and create quality Slow Joe’ Beverages, prepare coffee and espresso beverages, make donuts and breakfast sandwiches. This seasonal position will have start dates beginning in May and extending through end of October. Ideal candidates will have availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays and will be available 40 hrs/ week beginning in May for our peak summer season.

Requirements

• Understand health code standards and restaurant cleanliness
• Function well as a team player
• Take direction well and can work independently
• Understand the flow of restaurant operations
• Be courteous and respectful
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 30lbs
• Comfortable working in a hot back of house kitchen environment
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to climb up and down stairs
• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and climb ladders

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience is preferred, but not required.

• Maintains the store and anticipates the customer’s needs
• Someone who always arrives at their shift on time and maintains a consistent attendance
• Able to work flexible hours that include early mornings, weekends, and possible holidays.
• Is a great multi-tasker and able to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
• Prepare coffee and espresso beverages, prepare donuts for guests
• Operate a register for cash and credit sales
• Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
