About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Barrier Wall & Permanent Signs Supervisor to lead field crews responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of highway barrier wall systems and permanent roadway signs. This role ensures all work is completed in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to supervise crews in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment. Success in this role requires a commitment to safety, clear communication, and effective coordination with project contacts, team members, and management.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience supervising crews or teams in construction, traffic control, or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Flexible availability (nights, weekends, extended shifts, on-call)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification or ATSSA certification preferred.
  • Experience with front‑end loaders or skid steers or concrete work or roadway sign/traffic control installation

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise barrier wall and permanent sign installation crews
  • Enforce safety standards, PPE requirements, and best practices
  • Plan and assign daily/weekly tasks and ensure proper labor, tools, and materials are prepared
  • Meet with project contacts to confirm scope, layout, and updates
  • Oversee installation, adjustments, repair, loading/unloading, and removal of barrier walls
  • Supervise and participate in permanent sign installation and maintenance
  • Coordinate trucking and logistics with drivers and internal teams
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and inventory; report damage or shortages
  • Ensure timely completion of all required documents (DHA, daily logs, inspections, tickets)
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites, vehicles, and shop areas
  • Participate in manager meetings and operational improvements
