About The Position

Come be a part of our Casino Floor / Turf club bartending team! In this position you will mix and serve alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring guest satisfaction and creating a fun experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of alcoholic beverages, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit.
  • Washington State Food Handlers Permit. - must obtain with 14 days of start date.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination.
  • Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification. - must obtain within 60 days of start date.
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discrimination in sound.
  • Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Constantly requires being on your feet / walking or moving up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Constantly requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently it requires crouching.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of college or technical school preferred.
  • 4 years current or related experience and / or training preferred.
  • Must possess excellent customer relations and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow Norther Quest Resort & Casino's cash handling policy.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
  • Ability to learn and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides attentive and friendly service to customers.
  • Takes drink orders from customers.
  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other beverages.
  • Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
  • Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks according to bar specifications.
  • Prepares drinks ordered by wait staff in a timely manner.
  • Must pass occasional quizzing of recipe knowledge.
  • Monitors consumption of alcohol by guests.
  • Upholds standards set by Washington Liquor Control Commission.
  • Attend all training meetings.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.
