About The Position

The bartender takes food and drink orders, mixes alcoholic beverages, serves customers, keeps the bar area clean, stocked, and organized, and takes payments. The ideal candidate for this position will have had experience in high volume dining/bartending with mixology knowledge.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High school completion or equivalent required
  • Alcohol & Food Handlers Certifications required/ willing to obtain
  • Ability to describe and upsell/suggestive sell specials, menu items, document and comprehend drink and food orders and communicate effectively to the kitchen and servers
  • Ability to engage guests in college and professional sports and sports wagering (social media, apps, podcasts, etc)
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • This position requires working in a fast-paced environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and crowds
  • Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

  • Promoting casino events and programs
  • Resolving service problems according to procedures
  • Providing fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers in accordance with company standards
  • Preparing and pouring drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicating with servers, and presenting drinks to guests or servers as required
  • Operating a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register, and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounting for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedures; maintaining integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
  • Maintaining a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
  • Alerting management of guests who are intoxicated, unruly or disruptive, and enforcing the minimum age policy
