A true passion for beverage service is essential. Feel comfortable recommending cocktails, mocktails, and wines, and guiding guests toward selections that enhance their experience. Experience developing or promoting cocktail and mocktail programs is highly valued. In this role we are seeking someone who takes pride not only in their craft, but also in maintaining a clean, organized, bar and storage area.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English fluently
  • Complete California RBS Training
  • Obtain a Serve Safe Approved or Equivalent Training Certificate.
  • A general knowledge of food and beverage service procedures
  • Knowledge of POS platforms, including Jonas, Club Essential, Micros, Square etc.
  • Must be service oriented, well groomed and courteous
  • Previous bartender service experience in a high-volume environment is essential.

  • Experience developing or promoting cocktail and mocktail programs is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Performs opening & closing duties according to established procedures.
  • Review reservations and prepares for special set up requests. Including setting up satellite bars in auxiliary rooms.
  • Obtains additional supplies according to established procedures, restocking wine and liquor to par levels in bar and secure storage areas.
  • Keeps liquor storeroom in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Takes tableside beverage & food orders in the absence of a cocktail server and delivers drinks and bar bite menu items.
  • Sets-up, replenishes and breaks-down hors d’oeuvre table, maintains tea table.
  • Maintains bar ambiance, lighting, music, furniture and plants placement according to established standards and reservation requests.
  • Reports on complaints or specific brand requests to Food & Beverage Manager
  • Maintain fresh snacks at cocktail tables, as needed.
  • Attends to members and guests’ needs throughout beverage service according to established beverage service procedures,
  • Completes the billing and chit process, with accuracy and closing out chits daily.
  • Keeps shared work area and side station clean, sanitary and orderly.
  • Performs all work according to established safety and sanitary procedures.
  • Adheres to state law and Club policy regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages to minors.
  • Assist other team members in completing their tasks and assist in Main Dining Room.
  • Assist management with enforcing the established standards of dress and cell phone restrictions for members and guests.
  • Reports and delivers any lost and found items to Food & Beverage Manager/Front Desk.
  • Assists with monthly, quarterly, year-end inventory.
  • Avails him/herself, to the best of his/her abilities, to directly assist in the furtherance of member satisfaction.
  • Accepts with grace, any other duties assigned by management.
