POSITION SUMMARY The Steamboat retail team is looking for a strong leader to join our year-round operations both on mountain and in the base area. This position will be directly responsible for managing multiple retail shops and associate teams. Shops include Rendezvous, Thunderhead, Grand Gifts, Giggle Gulch Candy, Mountain Camp Retail, The Steamboat Store, and Giddy Up. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years retail, garment or similar experience required
  • Minimum 2 years guest service experience required
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 1 year cash handling experience required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Exceptional people and language skills
  • Prompt, accurate and professional judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Mathematical skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percent’s
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and guest service skills to ensure that quality and consistent customer service standards are met
  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully complete motor vehicle record check and meet company insurability standards
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Must be able to stand 80% of shift and move quickly and efficiently from one area to the next
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry box’s that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management and supervision of SSRC’s above retail locations
  • Administration of expense, labor, and revenue budgets, merchandising and inventory control to meet budgets.
  • Responsible for staff management including hiring, training, scheduling, team building, coaching, evaluations and disciplinary action and staff administration tasks.
  • Readily available "on the floor" to answer questions, motivate, and provide support necessary for staff.
  • Identify, organize, and complete equipment or facility maintenance projects
  • Understand and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations while maintaining good customer relations
  • Communicate directly with clients and vendors regarding any issues and concerns that arise
  • Other duties as assigned
