Battery Prototyping Engineer

We engineer and manufacture ground-breaking battery materials that significantly increase the energy density of batteries, while reducing their size and weight. The result? Requirements
- Experience developing materials, assembly, or test processes, particularly for R&D
- Demonstrated cross-functional project management skills
- Experience implementing safety and data collection/analysis best practices
- At least a B.S. in engineering or physical science and 5 years of hands-on industry experience; lithium-ion battery experience is a plus
Nice To Haves
- Experience in computer automated design (mechanical or electrical) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teammates to identify novel electrode and cell prototyping capabilities that could accelerate product R&D and deployment
- Lead the design, development, qualification, and scaleup of new battery making and testing capabilities
- Manage projects involving multiple functions to stay on target and keep stakeholders informed
- Proactively identify issues and support the R&D Operations team by continuously improving system performance
- Train teammates on the operation and data analysis of systems and processes
- Invest in our values and vision and champion them as we grow
