About The Position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities that support the company’s strategic growth goals. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, expanding existing accounts, and partnering closely with internal teams to drive sustainable revenue. The Business Development Manager plays a key role in shaping pipeline strategy and representing the company to customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. This role operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction across sales, engineering, operations, and leadership teams. Travel may be required to support customer meetings, industry events, and onsite visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand technical products and communicate value to customers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working in a technical, manufacturing, or B2B environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company capabilities and long-term strategy
  • Develop and manage a qualified sales pipeline from lead generation through contract execution
  • Research target markets, customers, and competitors to inform growth strategy
  • Support pricing strategy, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Act as a primary point of contact during early customer engagement and opportunity development
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into viable solutions in partnership with internal teams
  • Support account growth through repeat business and upsell opportunities
  • Partner with engineering, operations, finance, and program management to ensure accurate proposals and feasible delivery plans
  • Coordinate internal resources to support customer requirements and timelines
  • Provide feedback from customers and the market to inform product, service, and process improvements
  • Track opportunities, forecasts, and activity using CRM tools
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline health, risks, and wins
  • Support leadership with data-driven insights on growth performance
