About The Position

The Beach Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service on the beach, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all visitors. This includes assisting guests with towels, personal belongings, beach chairs, and cabanas. The position also involves food and beverage service on the beach, as well as performing basic cleaning and maintenance duties. The Beach Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the overall beach operation, including assisting with restaurant tasks when required.

Requirements

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse operation.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy under pressure of tense/confrontational situations.
  • Uphold the Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Prioritize and organize tasks and work area
  • Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement as interpreted by the management
  • Follow directions
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest/employee information and pertinent hotel data
  • 1 year previous luxury hotel operations experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Guest Assistance: Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing towels, beach chairs, and sunbeds.
  • Set up and arrange beach chairs, cabanas, and sunbeds according to guest preferences.
  • Carry guests’ personal belongings to designated areas and ensure their safety.
  • Food and Beverage Service:
  • Deliver water, food, and beverages to guests on the beach as requested.
  • Ensure guests are comfortable by proactively offering additional amenities (e.g., towels, sun protection).
  • Beach Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness of the beach area, including sweeping, picking up litter, and ensuring sunbeds and cabanas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor the beach area for safety hazards and report any issues promptly.
  • General Support:
  • Assist with basic restaurant tasks, such as clearing tables, cleaning, or helping as needed.
  • Provide additional support to the operation, responding to guest requests and performing other duties as assigned.
