About The Position

The Beauty Advisor reports directly to the Store Manager and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional, elevated experience for every Winky Lux guest. This position is responsible for engaging guests in a warm, authentic way, understanding their individual beauty needs, and providing expert product recommendations, especially in makeup application, techniques, and trends. Beauty Advisors also support daily store operations, merchandising, and overall store presentation.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of retail experience preferred (beauty retail strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated passion for guest service and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of makeup application, beauty trends, and product recommendations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest with eye contact, a smile, and a prompt, friendly acknowledgment.
  • Deliver thoughtful, knowledgeable, and personalized service, prioritizing guest needs above all tasks.
  • Engage guests to understand their beauty goals and provide expert guidance on products, application techniques, and trends.
  • Recommend additional or complementary products to enhance the guest's experience and routine.
  • Inform guests of current promotions, events, and in-store services.
  • Confidently assist multiple guests at once while maintaining composure during high-traffic or peak selling times.
  • Contribute to individual and store-wide sales, conversion, and performance goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, cashwrap, backroom, and restrooms.
  • Ensure fixtures are fully stocked and merchandise is presented according to company standards.
  • Execute planograms, resets, and visual updates as directed.
  • Set up and maintain promotional and advertising displays.
  • Receive, process, and merchandise shipment deliveries in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Participate in inventory preparation, counts, and follow-up.
  • Accurately process sales and exchanges, ensuring correct pricing, tax, and discounts.
  • Support loss prevention by staying aware on the sales floor and providing proactive guest service.
  • Complete additional operational tasks as assigned by store leadership.
  • Opportunity to travel to a local Ulta location up to once per week to support the Winky Lux brand by selling, stocking, and maintaining the Winky Lux display, ensuring visual standards and product availability are upheld.
  • Take initiative to stay informed on new and existing products, including ingredients and benefits.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of makeup products to provide confident, expert recommendations.
