About The Position

Position Summary: The Beer Floor Lead is a frontline leader responsible for executing daily store operations and supporting the success of their department and team. As a Leader on Duty (LOD), this role ensures a smooth, customer-first experience by driving sales strategy, executing merchandising plans, and maintaining accountability on the floor. Floor Leads serve as a key link between management and the floor team, promoting communication, efficiency, and high standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of retail or customer-facing experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability or desire to grow into a leadership role
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work on your feet during shifts
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Interest or knowledge in beer, wine, or spirits is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of leadership on the floor when assigned as LOD.
  • Ensure coverage, assign tasks, monitor productivity, and uphold store standards throughout the shift.
  • Respond to customer escalations, team questions, and store needs in real time.
  • Execute department-level and storewide merchandising plans, promotions, and seasonal resets.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and shoppable displays throughout the day.
  • Monitor product placement, shelf tags, and inventory levels; alert management of issues.
  • Provide daily guidance to team members through task delegation and hands-on support.
  • Reinforce expectations and lead by example in customer service and professionalism.
  • Support training of new staff and provide real-time feedback to help team members improve.
  • Support the implementation of daily and weekly sales initiatives.
  • Motivate team members to achieve sales goals and engage customers with upselling strategies.
  • Monitor floor performance and share feedback with management on trends and opportunities.
