About The Position

The main purpose of this full-time position, which is located in the Behavioral Health Division, will be to provide referrals, outreach and training for individuals who have experienced or attempted suicide or suicide ideation. This position will require the application of comprehensive experience to manage the day-to-day activities and functions and to serve as the principal staff member in executing an active and effective behavioral health program. This position will also facilitate the integration of suicide prevention outreach into existing behavioral health programs, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for individuals at risk. Activities including marketing, education, and training, will be coordinated by this position in partnership with local behavioral health providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders. In addition, this position will help individuals by providing Care Coordination services for up to three (3) months that includes linkage to behavioral health treatment options, treatment support and recovery services, benefits, housing, and other needs as identified.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
