Summary: In addition to performing the role of a BHT, the BHT Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of clients and other BHTs while on duty. The BHT Supervisor ensures that clients and staff follow protocols and reports issues to the Program Director / BHT Manager and others as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians and provides feedback on their performance.
  • Orients and trains new staff to the unit and program.
  • Assists with interviewing and hiring BHTs.
  • Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
  • Assists with employee corrective actions and development.
  • Develops employee schedules as applicable.
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations as applicable.
  • Assists with interventions with clients.
  • Assists with the confiscation and inventory management of client items.
  • Evaluates training needs, department performance, system changes, and client concerns, etc.
  • Coordinates activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Follows objectives of treatment plans.
  • Schedules BHTs to attend trainings.
  • Attends facility meetings and coordinates BHT department meetings.
  • Attends treatment team meetings, shift changes, and company meetings as required.
  • Completes all required trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
