The Conveyor System Technician is a service provider position, working in the belt shop and in the field at customer locations with responsibilities to install, service, and repair conveyor products.

Responsibilities

Display a sense of urgency and adhere to a culture of quality, safety, and adherence to company core values.
Maintain a record of proper attendance, performance, and the timely completion of all required duties.
Have proper and legal driving license records that are sufficient to be insurable by the company insurance carrier and be capable of driving service trucks up to GVW.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure along with the ability to read and understand measuring devices.
Must be able to obtain TWIC card and all other safety certifications or clearances as required by Turner Supply customers.
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding and lift and move up to 75 lbs.
Must be available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays and be responsive to after hour, weekend, and holiday emergency calls.
Must be able to work independently or with little supervision in the shop or on job sites.
Must follow process and procedures as instructed for conveyor belt installation, splicing, and safety procedures.
Installation of conveyor belts on customers systems
Prepare and complete vulcanized splices on heavy rubber belts, lightweight conveyor belts and monofilament belts
Properly select and install mechanical fasteners
Properly install belt cleaning products
Operation of Hand/ Power Tools
Burning torches and welding equipment
