JOB PURPOSE: This position leads the Marketing Operations organization primarily across the US and Canada. The position will be responsible and accountable for brand strategy, go-to-market strategy, execution and financial targets for the US and have strategic oversight and accountability for the brand strategy in Canada and Mexico. As Head of Marketing Operations leading over 57% of the Global B&J business, you will drive end-to-end development and execution of business performance, marketing strategies, progressive values, and deliver on the fun, irreverence that defines B&J. This role collaborates across a multitude of stakeholders including but not limited to Integrated Marketing, Innovation, CMI, PR, CCS, Finance, Supply Chain, Social Mission, and Scoop Shops. This role manages external agencies ensuring development and execution of initiatives that are on strategy, on time, and on budget. The Head of Marketing Operations has exceptional knowledge of business operations, brand strategy, financial management, development of high performing teams, and demonstrated ability to build and manage strong relationships. You will continuously assess the business needs and opportunities, prioritizing areas that meet overall business objectives, integrating our core values, and ensuring internal and external stakeholders are working collaboratively together to drive sustainable, profitable growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience developing and executing marketing programs across multiple platforms, channels, customers, and geographies in marketing or relevant field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of the CPG industry, including brand management, financial management, and marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a strong track record of building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive growth.
  • Strong financial management skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and ensure profitability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a global environment and understanding of cultural differences and their impact on business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3-5 year and in-year Business Objectives, Goals, Strategy and Plans; inclusive of Sales & Operations Planning.
  • Deliver strong profitability roadmap.
  • Manage the existing portfolio.
  • In partnership with the Innovation and R&D teams, establish a 3–5-year pipeline of innovation across categories, while leading the flavor development process for all retailer specific flavors and channel specific opportunities.
  • Manage effective budget forecasting and control and develop effective post-program analysis.
  • Progress our aggressive dComm growth agenda while identifying new channel opportunities in the market with key partners.
  • Work in partnership with Consumer Insights to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and/or behaviors that help create marketing programs and flavor opportunities.
  • Deliver IBP (integrated business plans), annual brand plans, innovation and ensuring on-brand creative executions and adherence to the Social Mission.
  • Lead the reporting of syndicated data, competitive intelligence, and consumer research to achieve insights and drive actions.
  • Lead the planning for marketing execution for print, consumer promotions including Catalina, Ibotta, News America and new and emerging opportunities.
  • Work with Customer & Channel Strategy and sales teams to identify new growth opportunities (distribution, merchandising opportunities, joint business planning, etc) and direct related marketing activities to achieve sales volume and market penetration goals.
  • Partner with Country Business Leads across Canada and Mexico. 1x-2x annual discussions for Caribbean and Brazil local markets to ensure strategy alignment.
  • Utilize systems, processes and communication/reporting methods for project management, budgets, forecasting and marketing programs.
  • Exhibit commitment to the company’s social mission and Marketing's vital role in delivering all three elements of Ben & Jerry's three-part mission statement.
  • Manage relationships with key external partners (e.g., agencies, GTM partners etc.).
  • Communicate and provide support around best practices globally.
  • Direct Reports of Digital Commerce Manager, Associate Brand Manager, and Assistant Brand Manager.
  • Drive professional development for team and direct reports.
