About The Position

Varney Benefits Advisors is hiring a Benefit Account Manager to manage client relationships and employee benefit programs. ? This role involves preparing proposals, reviewing contracts, resolving claims, conducting presentations, and ensuring compliance with regulations like ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and benefits administration experience preferred
• Active Maine Life and Health License and valid Maine Driver’s License.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of employee benefits coverage.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Travel to client sites, including occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact for benefits management.
• Prepare proposals, review contracts, and resolve claims.
• Conduct open enrollment meetings and benefit presentations.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations.
• Build relationships with carriers, vendors, and stakeholders.
