About The Position

Audacy is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Benefits Analyst to lead the administration and optimization of our comprehensive health and welfare programs. This role is responsible for managing the annual open enrollment process, overseeing vendor relationships, supporting employee inquiries and communications, and providing technical oversight of the benefits administration platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR/benefits administration.
  • Strong foundational understanding of 401(k) retirement and health benefit plan principles and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Director of Benefits to manage the daily operations of employee benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA/HSA, COBRA, retirement plans, and worker’s compensation.
  • Serve as the functional lead for the benefits administration software (Workday preferred). Manage system audits, troubleshoot file integration issues with carriers, and implement process improvements to enhance the user experience.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of the annual Open Enrollment process, including system configuration oversight, vendor coordination, and communications and employee support.
  • Manage the end-to-end life event workflow from employee initiation and document upload to final approval and carrier notification.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee benefits inquiries, guiding employees to appropriate resources, and assisting with claims resolution when necessary.
  • Lead the annual 401(k) audit process by serving as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (Payroll, Finance) and external auditors; ensure timely filing of Form 5500 and oversee the successful execution of non-discrimination testing (NDT).
  • Lead the annual ACA reporting process, including the audit, generation, and distribution of Forms 1095-C and the electronic filing of Form 1094-C with the IRS.
  • Coordinate wellness communications and engagement activities including newsletters and events.
  • Oversee and process monthly billing, including reviewing invoices for accuracy and ensuring timely payment.
  • Review and analyze benefit data and utilization to identify trends and provide actionable insight.
  • Provide support with FMLA, ADA, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Life Insurance and state benefit programs claims.
  • Assist Sr. Director of Benefits with other projects as needed and provide ongoing support to other HR team members.
