About The Position

This position will be responsible for drafting Plan Documents for group health plans. Additionally, the BCA will maintain a detailed database tracking the history of all group health plan revisions. The BCA will also be responsible for organizing plan documents online.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience drafting benefits documents required.
  • Possess an understanding of Federal laws that impact group health plans, including the Affordable Care Act required
  • Excellent written communications required
  • Knowledge and previous ERISA experience required
  • Experience with document review, legal documents, and file management required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe to create plan documents.
  • Must be tech-savvy and possess a thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word, particularly with respect to formatting Word documents.
  • Must be comfortable learning new software programs.
  • Attention to the smallest details and superior organizational skills are of paramount importance.

Responsibilities

  • Review all aspects of the templates and data submission in order to draft plan documents and summary plan descriptions (SPD) for self-funded group health plans.
  • Question and advise on documents being drafted.
  • Assist from a technical standpoint in creating and improving efficient workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
