About The Position

Sodexo is recruiting for a Benefits Manager to join our Benefits Strategy Team. This role oversees year‑round projects, analyzes market trends, and develops annual and long‑term benefits strategies aligned with company goals and budgets. Research findings may also drive decisions to take certain benefits to market through an RFP process. This is a remote position. Candidates should reside within the Eastern time zone.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years or more experience in benefit administration
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work autonomously on projects and manage project plans
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing participant plans and communications
  • Strong technical acumen and presentation skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Flexible, ability to adapt to change
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of Benefits, Health & Welfare, or Retirement experience

Responsibilities

  • Project Management – The team manages an annual cycle of reviewing current benefits, assessing market trends, and developing both annual and long‑term strategies aligned with company and employee needs and available budgets. Findings may lead us to take specific benefits to market through an RFP process.
  • Annual Enrollment – After completing the planning cycle and any RFPs, the team shifts to implementation and preparation for Annual Enrollment each fall. The team oversees all Health & Welfare benefit plans, the vendors that administer them, and the consultants who support these efforts.
  • Compliance – Ensures all benefit plans meet federal and state requirements, including plan design standards, communications, filings, and legal notices. The team also negotiates contracts and manages all legal documents supporting vendor relationships. Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations is essential.
  • Review and analyze reports measuring compliance with performance guarantees, analyzing trends and making recommendations based on the data.
  • Review legal documents such as policies, contracts, SPDs, etc. Our team is fully involved in all communications to managers and employees. We host educational webinars with the support of our vendors.
