Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in Human Resources or Benefits Administration will be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in employee benefits administration—including wellness, leave, and retirement programs—with a primary focus on U.S. benefits
  • Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors in a fast-paced HR environment.
  • Metrics- and results-driven, with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach; comfortable engaging with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage detailed tasks while effectively prioritizing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive understanding of benefits regulations, including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and IRS retirement plan limits.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, drive innovation, or support problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate support.
  • Partner with external benefits brokers and act as a liaison between brokers, the HR Ops team, and benefits carriers.
  • Identify and recommend operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities across all benefit-related programs.
  • Provide ongoing research and benchmarking to keep benefits programs competitive and aligned with market trends.
  • Lead open enrollment, including planning, strategy, messaging, system configuration, materials creation, and delivery of employee presentations.
  • Manage leave of absence programs, ensuring legal compliance with state, federal, and international labor laws.
  • Manage all benefits compliance requirements, including mandatory postings, 5500 filings, ACA reporting, PCORI fees, and other regulatory filings.
  • Partner with payroll on mandatory government ACA reporting
  • Partner with payroll and the 401(k) broker to educate employees on retirement planning and financial wellness.
  • Lead employee and manager education on total rewards package, promoting a clear understanding of available benefits.
  • Serve as the HRIS expert, providing guidance and support to employees on benefits and absences
  • Generate reports for billing allocations, benefit reconciliations, and other ad hoc needs
