About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a dedicated Benefits Partner to provide personalized support and guidance to employee owners on retirement programs and broader benefits. This role helps team members understand and navigate key retirement offerings, including the 401k, ESOP, and international retirement plans, along with the transition to retirement. The position also contributes to developing new programs and provides strategic insight that strengthens our overall benefits approach. As a Benefits Partner, a typical day might include: Supporting customers with benefits questions ranging from simple to complex through email, phone, virtual meetings, and in‑person consultations Providing personalized retirement and benefits guidance that simplifies navigation and helps employees make confident, informed decisions Supporting ongoing and cyclical activities, including training events, new employee orientation, and Open Enrollment Conducting quality audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across benefits operations Building and maintaining strong relationships to support program effectiveness and seek expert guidance Applying strong knowledge of retirement funds, plan structures, and requirements to support accurate administration and clear employee education Contributing to strategic projects and helping create meaningful new programs This job might be for you if you: Find meaning in supporting others, bring empathy to each interaction, and are passionate about helping people Approach challenges with curiosity and optimism, seeing them as opportunities to learn Are detail oriented and organized, with a strong appreciation for documentation and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Supporting customers with benefits questions ranging from simple to complex through email, phone, virtual meetings, and in‑person consultations
  • Providing personalized retirement and benefits guidance that simplifies navigation and helps employees make confident, informed decisions
  • Supporting ongoing and cyclical activities, including training events, new employee orientation, and Open Enrollment
  • Conducting quality audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across benefits operations
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships to support program effectiveness and seek expert guidance
  • Applying strong knowledge of retirement funds, plan structures, and requirements to support accurate administration and clear employee education
  • Contributing to strategic projects and helping create meaningful new programs
