BI Analyst
About The Position
The Business Intelligence Analyst will design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision making across the organization. This role requires strong Power BI expertise, a solid understanding of ERP data, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable insights. Experience with Deacom ERP is highly preferred. This role owns the accuracy, performance, and adoption of BI reporting used by operational and leadership teams. This will require close partnership with operations, finance, and IT and regular live collaboration during PST hours will be critical.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Proven BI report and dashboard development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling
- Strong SQL and SQL Server (T-SQL) experience
- Experience working with ERP data and operational reporting
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable reporting and insights
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with ERP systems, Deacom is a plus
- Manufacturing or food & beverage industry experience
- Familiarity with report building using FoxPro
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and inventory management
- Experience with other BI or analytics tools (e.g., advanced Excel modeling, SSRS, Azure)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions
- Extract, transform, and model data from ERP systems, databases, and other sources
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reports and dashboards
- Develop and maintain data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests and provide insights to leadership teams
- Document BI solutions, data definitions, and reporting logic
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data visibility
- Maintain a strong documentation and record keeping system of changes, upgrades, etc. related to BI and ERP systems
- Additional IT functional support as needed
