Bike Attendant
About The Position
Responsibilities and Duties Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner Assist guests with bike selection, proper sizing, and helmet fitting Perform basic safety inspections prior to each rental (tires, brakes, seat adjustments) Clean and stage bicycles for daily operations Check bikes in and out using POS or reservation systems Provide guests with trail maps, safety guidelines, and riding instructions Monitor bike inventory and report maintenance needs Assist Bike Mechanic with minor repairs and upkeep as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental area Follow all safety standards and operational procedures Support other Recreation activities during peak periods as assigned Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and all major holidays Strong interpersonal and communication skills Completion of a background check Physical Requirements Standing and/or walking for long periods of time Moderate lifting, bending, and pushing, up to 50 lbs Sweep, dust, and pick up/dispose of trash. Work Environment Combination of workshop and outdoor rental environment Fast-paced during peak seasons (Spring Break, Summer, holidays) Collaborative team setting within Recreation operations Skills & Qualifications: Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member. Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the affected guests. Be able to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during guest visits. Be able to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the need. Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests. Be able to work with and understand financial information and data and perform basic math functions.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license
