To learn more, please visit: https://www.NFP.com. The Licensed Benefits Counselor provides personalized guidance to employees during the benefits enrollment process via our remote call center. This role is responsible for educating employees on available benefit options and assisting them in making informed enrollment decisions. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and deep expertise in employee benefits. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy, and delivering exceptional service throughout ongoing new hire and annual enrollment periods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in benefits enrollment and call center environments.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly explain benefit options and guide employees through enrollment.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance License (multi-state preferred).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required for bilingual role).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all benefit plans, including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, Disability (Short & Long-Term), Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity.
  • Provide inbound and outbound call support and respond to emails for assigned employer groups.
  • Generate and review reports from multiple benefits administration systems to identify new hires requiring outreach; complete daily and weekly follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with employer HR contacts to confirm enrollment status and resolve service issues.
  • Process qualifying life events and manage open tickets assigned by the Enrollment Manager.
  • Maintain exceptional time management skills to balance multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Uphold professionalism and integrity in all interactions with employees and employer representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies and corporate standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • The base salary range for this position is $45,000 to $61,000.
  • The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.
  • Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
