Job Summary: The Building Maintenance Technician II is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Property Management Manager. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall ground and building maintenance for Cherry Cove Group Corporate Office, and commercial and residential properties. Typical hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to 1:00pm Friday. Evening and Weekend on-call rotation as needed for emergencies. Essential Functions: 1. Aligns with and ensures full compliance to policies, procedures and standards of the Cherry Cove Group, hotel brand and franchise 2. Performs daily ground and building maintenance as needed. 3. Responsible for keeping garage bay and Maintenance areas clean and organized. 4. Responsible for maintaining the appearance and mechanical systems of residential and commercial buildings 5. Operates hand and mechanical tools for use in plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs. 6. All other duties as assigned. Safety and Security: 1. Supports, creates and reinforces a workspace culture that emphasizes safety and security, specifically: 2. Coordinates with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. 3. Recognizes, reports, and corrects conditions which may create security and safety hazards. 4. Understands and adheres to policies and procedures for the building’s key control system.
