About The Position

The Bilingual Call Center Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients within our orthopedic practice. This role is responsible for handling high-volume inbound and outbound calls in both English and Spanish, scheduling appointments, providing general information, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment.

Requirements

Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong knowledge of medical terminology (orthopedic terminology a plus)
Excellent communication and listening skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of medical call center or healthcare customer service experience preferred
Experience with EMR systems and multi-line phone systems preferred

Responsibilities

Answer high-volume inbound calls in both English and Spanish in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for orthopedic providers
Obtain and accurately enter patient demographics, insurance information, and referral details
Provide general information regarding services, providers, office locations, and procedures
Route clinical calls to appropriate medical staff
Communicate pre-appointment instructions to patients
Verify insurance eligibility and explain basic coverage information when applicable
Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Assist with appointment reminders and follow-up calls
Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Meet established performance and quality standards
