About The Position

Vital Research is seeking Bilingual Field Interviewers ( English/Spanish speaking) in Miami, Florida to serve as independent contractors to conduct in-person interviews with older adults in our PACE survey projects that aim to improve participant satisfaction. This project will start with mandatory hybrid training the week of April 13th , where Field Interviewers receive instructions on how to conduct interviews. The project will span three to four weeks in duration. Once interviewers successfully pass training, they become part of a team responsible for interviewing throughout the Miami area. Work during the project may not be continuous, depending on the availability of interview assignments.

Requirements

  • The ability to read, write, and fluently communicate in English/Spanish required.
  • Comfort interacting with older adults and demonstrating concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.
  • Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully and in a timely manner via email and phone.
  • Proficient with email, uploading/downloading files, Internet use, and troubleshooting possible technical glitches.
  • Personal computer (or other selected devices) with access to view and modify MS Excel and access the internet.
  • A personal phone and reliable wireless Internet.
  • Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately.
  • Ability to follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to a business casual dress code and other personal requirements.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver license/automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers preferred.
  • Interviewing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with participants while at the day center.
  • Be punctual, work independently, and remain unbiased when conducting interviews.
  • Keep organized records of interviews and update the Vital Research team daily (e.g., completed interviews and refusals, etc.).
  • Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend customer feedback.
  • Using company issued tablet device to conduct 10-15 minute in-person interviews in an atmosphere of privacy.
  • Utilize personal cell phone and email address to regularly be in touch with Vital Research.
  • Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security requirements.
  • Be available between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during assignments. Actual hours worked will vary.
