Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first As a Bilingual English and Spanish Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care Soldier City office address: 3505 Progress Ln. St Cloud, FL 34769 The Bilingual English and Spanish Medical Assistant who supports a team of APRN's that visit our most vulnerable patients in their homes. This position, along with the administrative assistant role is based in the corporate office of CenterWell Orlando. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborates closely with providers and administrative assistants. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance

Nice To Haves

  • Certified or Registered
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
