About The Position

Cross Country Education is looking for a dynamic Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support two vibrant campus communities in the Waukegan and Great Lakes, IL areas . Join us in helping students master communication in both English and Spanish, ensuring they thrive in the classroom and beyond—making every word count! Position Overview: Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to a diverse student population (Pre-K through 8th grade) in both English and Spanish, ensuring equitable access to communication. Conduct evaluations and screenings to differentiate between language disorders and the natural process of second-language acquisition. Lead the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for bilingual students, collaborating with families and staff to set linguistically appropriate goals. Coordinate services across two campus locations, maintaining high standards for documentation, progress reporting, and state compliance.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License and Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish (Required)
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting, with a strong understanding of bilingual language development
