Learn It Systems is looking for a tutor. We currently have an opening in New York City for the 25/26 school year. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need.
In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a fellow educators, Program Aide, and Area Manager. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality education services in reading, mathematics and/or writing to students in a small group/ one on one learning environment. As a tutor you will be assisting the classroom teacher with working with students that need additional support in the classroom. As a Learn It System tutor, you'll need to have experience teaching or tutoring. The programs will be held in-school, tutoring reading and math for grade levels ranging from K to 8th.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-2:30pm
Special Education experience preferred
Grades K-5

Requirements

• Associates degree
• Teaching assistant or experience working with students
• Fingerprinting by Department of Education required
• Completion of SAVE School and Child Abuse Workshop are required; Prior Completion a Plus and if not then can be provided
• Bilingual preferred
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Work location is in a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairs
• Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head
• Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer

Nice To Haves

• Special Education experience preferred
