BIM (BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING) SPECIALIST Overview BIM Specialist will be responsible for BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement, as well as training and oversight of day-to-day BIM activities. This role will work with our Technology Director to provide technical plans, protocols and workflows for continued implementation. This role will also work closely with design staff, defining standards for architectural design software, developing custom procedures, and keeping team members up to date on new trends in the architectural design industry. This individual will act as a mentor to project teams on the best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design and 5+ years of experience in BIM workflow in all phases.
Expert knowledge of, and proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit Architecture and related BIM software.
Solid understanding of Navisworks and CAD applications and best practices.
Articulate communicator, able to convey BIM concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadership.
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Dynamo a plus.
Familiarity with design applications such as Rhino, Grasshopper, VRay, 3D Studio Max, Sketch up, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain BIM Protocol for active projects.
Provide training and technical support for staff, both one-on-one and in group class setting.
Ensure continuing quality assurance and adherence to BIM plans and firm-wide modeling and information standards.
Maintain continuity of information across multiple applications.
Provide general setup, configuration and customization of standard design and production applications.
Maintain and update current standards, documentation, templates and content.
Handle customization, trouble shooting and product testing.
Responsible for modeling, documentation and verifying design intent during CD phase.
Serve as production/technical support on assigned projects if needed.
Model Management.
