Role Summary As a Biomedical Equipment Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, testing, and developing medical devices that directly support patient care. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and medical professionals to gather product specifications, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and deliver innovative solutions that meet the highest levels of safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering/science discipline.
  • Knowledge of FDA Quality Systems Regulations (QSR) and ISO standards.
  • Experience with engineering analysis, research and development, and clinical engineering.
  • Strong skills in safety testing and technical specification design.
  • Familiarity with CAD and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software.

Nice To Haves

  • 0–2 years of related experience for Entry Level I; higher levels require progressively more experience.
  • Hands-on experience in biomedical equipment maintenance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex projects at senior levels.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering and scientific methodologies to design and develop medical devices.
  • Conduct research and testing to address specific medical conditions and improve device performance.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to gather product specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure designs meet FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other safety/quality requirements.
  • Utilize or develop software to perform testing or integrate with devices.
  • Support new product development through feasibility studies, prototyping, and design reviews.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot biomedical equipment as needed.
