Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I for Southern New Hampshire Medical Center located in Nashua, NH. Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service as a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to support Healthcare Technology services. The main role/responsibilities of the position will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communications skill as well as strong technical skills and a commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, and biomedical equipment principles.
  • Strong interest in healthcare technology and eagerness to learn on the job.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support a customer-focused environment.

  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Associate degree in electronics, biomedical technology, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a relevant program).
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.
  • Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
