About The Position

Biosimilars Value Strategy Director Use Your Power for Purpose The US Commercial organization, which is in the Global Hospital & Biosimilars organization, is comprised of over 200 products, spanning more than 10 therapeutic areas, with annual revenue of over $2.5B. The US Commercial Biosimilars Portfolio is comprised of the combined Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) and Oncology biosimilars (BSM) portfolios, with net revenue of ~$0.9B, within the US Commercial organization. This includes eight BSM assets - Abrilada, Inflectra, Nivestym, Nyvepria, Retacrit, Ruxience, Trazimera, Zirabev. The Director of Value Marketing will be responsible for developing, championing, and implementing biosimilar value marketing strategy for the Pfizer US Biosimilar portfolio across managed markets, hospital systems, and GPO customer segments. The Director, Biosimilars Value Marketing will be a key member of the US Commercial Biosimilar Team working closely with GH&B US Commercial Team, and cross functional partners to identify and execute against opportunities for the US biosimilar business. The Director of Value Marketing will report to the US Commercial Biosimilars Portfolio Lead. What You Will Achieve Partner to develop and execute the GH&B US biosimilars brand strategy and portfolio opportunities within the hospital and clinic channels with PAN portfolio responsibility Market Analysis Synthesize multiple secondary data sources to identify potential threats and opportunities to brand coverage and performance in key large national payer and provider health systems Financial Accountability Provide key input to guide the implementation of strategic and operating plans and latest estimate forecasts Make recommendations on pricing, contracting offers, across provider, payer, GPO that will impact long-range forecast development Support US Commercial Biosimilar team to ensure robust financial forecasting of business reflects prevailing market dynamics and portfolio financial characteristics (payer and provider contracting, ASP dynamics, projected supply availability, margins, etc) Partner with US Commercial teams (Hospital Portfolio, Pricing & Commercial Operations, Sales & Customer Facing Business, Marcom, Customer Enablement and Service, Contracting and Rebate Operations), Global Hospital & Biosimilar team (Finance, Manufacturing, Portfolio & Lifecycle Management, Commercial Excellence and Innovation), and other key functions (USMA, Policy and Government Relations, Medical, etc) to deliver and execute strategies and tactics that advance business goals of implementing and achieving the strategic and operating plans, while ensuring high customer satisfaction Support US Commercial Biosimilar team to ensure robust financial forecasting of business reflects prevailing market dynamics and portfolio financial characteristics (payer and provider contracting, ASP dynamics, projected supply availability, margins, etc) Value offer Development Develop unique value based contractual offerings to key large payers and IDN systems Model financial scenarios that inform value offering long-term business impact Strategically balance trade-offs across provider, payer, and GPO offers

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience OR Master’s degree with more than 7 years of experience, OR a PhD with 5 years of experience OR MD / VDM with 4 years of experience
  • Relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry required (i.e., strategic planning, pricing, value marketing)
  • Experience with US buy-and-bill biologics marketplace, ASP-based reimbursement, and key value chain players
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data, model financial impact, develop and implement related strategic recommendations
  • Ability to lead initiatives in a highly matrixed environment and gain buy in across multiple groups across Pfizer
  • Ability to take accountability for business challenges and tackle complex problems
  • Strong customer-orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others; an "execution mindset" focused on getting things done quickly
  • Outstanding writing, oral and presentation skills; ability to convey and effectively communicate market analytics, project proposals and strategies, and the results of complex data analyses to diverse audiences
  • High level of integrity, transparency of conduct

Responsibilities

  • Partner to develop and execute the GH&B US biosimilars brand strategy and portfolio opportunities within the hospital and clinic channels with PAN portfolio responsibility
