About The Position

Terraces of Phoenix, a HumanGood Life plan community is seeking a Bistro Supervisor. Under general supervision, the primary role of the Bistro Supervisor is supervising Bistro and C-Store in our Health Center. This incudes the supervising of setting up tables, serving food, cleaning and maintenance of the dining room, and customer service. Ensures that food is handled in accordance with sanitary standards, recognized food serving practices and state regulations. Schedule: Days vary, must have weekend availability Pay: $19.33 to $27.00 per hour Salary based on experience and qualifications

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of professional managerial experience in related field preferred or equivalent knowledge is a prerequisite for entry into profession.
  • ServSafe certification and/or Food Handlers Certification or enrollment in the certification course required.
  • Must have knowledge of therapeutic diets.

Nice To Haves

  • CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in Healthcare, Senior Living background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Line Up meetings to review menu as well as behaviors and service standards.
  • Attends daily Connect meetings and production meetings as requested
  • Oversees the work of the Wait Staff in production, procedures and duties
  • May serve meals in the Bistro
  • Instructs Bistro Team Members in performance of their duties
  • prepares the work schedule as assigned and oversees daily work assignments for the wait staff, including planning, evaluating, assigning work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, and allocating personnel
  • Assists their supervisor in developing work procedures and policies
  • Assists Team Members in setting up the Bistro, serving food and beverages, restocking (all grab and go areas, snacks and coffee stations), assisting residents and guests, and clearing and resetting tables during meals.
  • Proper and effective usage to time, resources, supplies and budget
  • Responds to Resident needs and requests promptly, appropriately, and with respect at all times
