BMS Technician

TEKsystemsCharlotte, NC
3d$45 - $65Onsite

About The Position

We are adding experienced Building Automation technicians to support multi‑site data center projects in the greater Charlotte area. You will perform hands‑on installation, point‑to‑point checkout (including 5‑point analog tests), and field functional testing to validate sequences of operations and equipment performance. Daily work includes plugging into control panels with a laptop, navigating BAS graphics, documenting results, and assisting third‑party commissioning agents during witnessed tests. You’ll coordinate with electrical and mechanical contractors, follow drawings and sequences, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues to keep milestones on track. Candidates should bring 3–5+ years of BAS/HVAC controls experience, the ability to read MEP drawings and control schematics, strong documentation habits, and a safety‑first mindset (OSHA‑10/30 preferred). This role is fully onsite across four Charlotte‑area sites (generally 30–45 minutes from Uptown), with a physically active, construction‑site environment. The schedule is frequently 6×10s with sustained overtime during peak phases, and the overall program spans multiple years with phased starts. These openings exist due to rapid regional growth and the need to augment internal project teams to meet delivery timelines on high‑impact data center projects.
