About The Position

Facilitates safe and enjoyable on-water experiences by managing customer check-ins, boat inspections, and dockside operations. Key responsibilities include providing safety briefings, fueling vessels, assisting with docking, and ensuring a clean, organized rental area to maximize customer satisfaction. Weekend's and Holiday's are mandatory. Job Duties: Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor while working and greet each guest with a smile. Conduct check-in/check-out procedures for boat, ensuring a positive, high-quality experience in a fast-paced environment. Performed pre-trip boat inspections, maintained safety equipment, and provided safety briefings to customers, reducing potential risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Assisted customers with safely docking, fueling, and loading/unloading watercraft. Maintained cleanliness of docks, rental offices, and surrounding marina areas. Resolve customer complaints by using good, sound judgement or by requesting assistance from the department supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Mathematic Ability Utilize basic arithmetic (Add, Subtract, Divide, and Multiply) Technical Skills Properly handle a cash register and its functions after training. Communication Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly. Planning/ Organizing Keep assigned work area clean and organized at all times; file appropriate documentation and be able to furnish information on request; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor. Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and be able to monitor own work for quality assurance. Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time; consistently on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent. Boat Handling & Safety Knowledge about safety and how to properly operate a vessel Minimum Age: Must be at least 16 years of age Pay Rate: $12.50/hr Essential Job Functions: Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; stand; walk/pace; use hands to handle equipment or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Work Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions (depending on location); and various cooking/ heating equipment. Occasionally = Less than 33% of time worked is dedicated to the activity. Frequently = Between 33 66% of time worked is dedicated to the activity. Regularly = More than 66% of the time worked is dedicated to the activity.
