About The Position

Currently we have a career opportunity available for a Non CDL Box Truck Driver. We are looking for a safe, courteous driver with a good driving history. Description: The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials to specified destinations. This individual works with others to ensure that the right materials are delivered to the proper locations at the correct times. The ideal candidate understands that when they are on the road or at a job site, they represent Koopman Lumber and must conduct themselves professionally and courteously. This individual appreciates that they are part of a team and that their role as an integral member of this team is to ensure the materials our customers need reach their job sites in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Possess or be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
Valid driver's license
Complete satisfactory background check
Completing fuel logs and handing them in daily
Must be able to lift 125 lbs. with assistance.
Maintain contact with Yard Dispatcher to receive instructions, resolve problems, or be dispatched to new location.
Communicate with sales team about any jobsite delivery questions or abnormalities.
Maintain delivery paperwork according to company and customer requirements.
Position cleats and load straps around items to secure cargo for transport.
Adjust and secure cargo during stops.
Clean and inspect vehicle daily and ensure all proper fluid levels before each shift.
Properly complete pre- and post-trip inspection reports via phone app.
Keep trucks clean and presentable at all times inside and out, wash and broom out vehicles weekly.
Operate power gate on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
Assist in loading and unloading truck manually.
Obtain customer signature and picture for goods delivered via phone app.
Log goods picked up from job site for return.
