About The Position

Small privately held metal stamper and fabricator is seeking a dedicated Fabrication Brake Press Operator to play a vital role in producing high-quality precision parts using our state-of-the-art TRUMPF brake presses. Summary Set up and operate TRUMPF brake presses and other fabrication equipment to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to technical specifications and work orders. Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine precise bending angles, dimensions, and tolerances. Program and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and consistent part production. Collaborate with team members, including programmers and engineers, to optimize bending processes and troubleshoot any technical issues. Perform routine machine maintenance and upkeep to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition. Monitor and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality control standards and specifications. Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials used, production quantities, and job details. Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall production process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in metalworking, machining, or fabrication is preferred.
  • Previous experience operating TRUMPF brake presses or similar metal forming equipment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to quality standards.
