About The Position

Brake Press Operators are in charge of operating the press and would have the following job responsibilities: This includes loading/unloading material and changing tooling. Inspecting and maintaining equipment for compliance with safety requirements. Corrects any safety issues prior to performing operations. Inspects parts per work in progress inspection procedure and ensures they meet engineering specifications. Resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed. Prioritizes production to ensure that customer orders are completed in a timely manner. Maximizes machine run time and productivity and maintains machine and tooling. Replaces die and punch holders as required to ensure safe machine operation. Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules. Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to work in high paced environment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to use measuring devices are required for product inspection
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Position may require bending, kneeling and stooping
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and chemicals
